yeah i just keep thinking about how much better of a platform the new ones are. I have driven my friends 2014 GT on the way back from a track day, where i rode along in it. I also rode along in my other friend's 2014 GT which is even more modded for track abuse (@101blur on IG if anyone follows him). His car is insane. I'm sure as it sits a stock 2011-14 will handle better than my car. But people over here still want gold for them. Even base models i'm finding for $24k+. All the ones at or below 20k with decent miles are auto. Don't get me wrong, i love the 6R80, but if i got an auto it would be a drag car. But i still want to do more track driving.

That's been pretty damn sweet! I say you get it. If the bank will give you a loan go get it. Go to myautoloan.com I got a loan through them it was quick and easy. You only live once and there's no better feeling than getting behind the wheel of a "new" car.

Thing is i'd have to take apart my entire car, sell it, and sell all the other parts. With my amount of student loans i don't know if a bank would want to finance me that much initially. I didn't even get approved for loans this year, with my parents as a cosigner. Thats why i'm paying out of pocket. I can afford it just fine. I mean i wouldn't have as much to invest, but i can afford it.

I would give it a shot online just to see myautoloan.com is 100% legit and goes out to a whole bunch of lenders. I got denied at my bank went on there and had a half dozen approvals within 48 hours.

Selling my car would also be a challenge. It technically won't pass smog right now due to leaking valve seals. That along with the AC not working and the battery drain issue. Finding a buyer would be a challenge in itself.

Being that your going to school, I'd at least wait until you've graduated and have a job before I'd take on that big of a loan. That's just my opinion and being an old guy haha.

Thats why *IF* I went that route, i would try to return the car back to stock and sell it first. Could probably cut that loan in half that way. See parts list above lol

If i end up getting this internship over summer i'll think about it. Since i'll have to drive a decent amount, and sweating up a storm in the car with no AC. And wearing harnesses in racing seats probably isn't the smartest while wearing a full suit.

That's true, but I'd bet you'll want to do a pretty good about to the new Mustang too. It might be hard to do with a monthly payment etc.

Why don't you just buy a basic used Honda or whatever and daily that beast and then you can focus the mustang on straight racecar mods and not give a flip about issues when they happen? You can buy a decent car for a few grand. Ask the folks for a small loan.

This right here was supposed to be my next Mustang. I looked briefly and even test drive one. I love Boss 302's, I just chickened out of getting a loan like that. I really want to buy my wife a nice ride next, so I decided to keep car loan free. Well, we just have a mine for a little while longer anyway.

That's really not a bad deal for that boss though. I wonder if it has any issues.

The one I was looking at last year was $37k, but it had only 2600 miles. It was super clean.

I would rather have the one with more miles I wouldn't feel as guilty driving the hell out of it. Mine has 12,500 on it

Ok, i cooled off a bit and now i don't want to sell it as much anymore. But i also don't have time to fix it, so if i can't get it into a shop today then it'll probably sit for a while... In the mean time, i thoroughly checked out the new wheels, and one came damaged. But already called and got a return set up. I'll drop off the wheel later today at UPS.

The Mustang is being towed to a shop tomorrow. Found someone willing to do it that has a lot of experience with Mustangs, especially my year. So i have faith they will be good. Hoping to have it back before the 24th because that is the huge bay area Mustang meet up (hundreds of Mustangs).

On the flip side, lately i've been really thinking of wrapping my car. I'm tired of the paint imperfections, and it would be cheaper to do. Really love these colors. Both are satin finish. I do kind of want the car to stand out and turn heads.
