Wraps are cool. I'm kicking around the dipyourcar.com kit myself once I get this damn thing rolling.

2001 Bullitt Build Thread
I kinda want to do blue. I've always had a love for blue Mustangs. And would be nice to change it up. I would probably also swap to a 03/04 Cobra bumper at the same time since they are dirt cheap. But we will see how things go lol.
Still gotta fix the car, and if I get an internship this summer I'll need a daily. I have an interview for one on Monday.

So all he's doing is pulling the tranny and checking the clutch fork?

Yeah. Like that it was off all 4 wheels. Didn't have time to wait even longer for a flatbed, but this worked fine.

I'm kinda curious as to what is wrong with the trans. It HAS to be something really stupid like something fell off or came loose or some BS.
I had to pull my trans 3 times one summer because of stupid ****. Got real good at it tho lol.

I hope it's something simple like that too. If I remember, you got a new clutch fork, so leaves the pivot. Maybe it was worn just enough to make it loose..? Idk tho, you'd think the fork would take most of the wear.

This clutch is actually so much lighter than my stock one. It also grabs higher, which i like.

Glad you got it back! The new cable and quadrant probably helped make it smoother and "feel" lighter too.

I have a whine that is either a throw out bearing, pilot bearing, or screwed up adjustment of the clutch. It could be a combination of all three, or a bad bearing or gear in the trans. Regardless, I am taking it easy on the car and not looking forward to transmission removal becoming a talent I am proud of.

If you don't have any stuck bolts and you have a lift and a friend a full trans/clutch/flywheel replacement is a 3-4 hour job. Its really not that bad.

A lift would be great. Friends that are mechanically inclined would be nice too.
At the moment I have a set of ramps for the front wheels, a low profile jack, and a couple of jack stands. It should be interesting.
I want the set up I am seeing in this post. A lift is a great tool to have.

If you are doing it on your back, at least get the Harbor Freight transmission jack. But screw that... one of the perks of being military is any largish base is going to have at least one auto hobby shop with lifts for about $5/hr. Problem is every swinging dick bum rushes the shop when they open and you have to show up pretty early to get one.

Fort Gordon is my back yard. I'm the odd one out of my family though. I regret not signing up for any service. I was too focused on partying.
As for the trans jack; I wish Harbor Frieght in Augusta had not closed, but they did from what I understand.

About 50 miles on the clutch so far. Went to C&C today with some friends. Got spotted cause of my IG tag (same as this). I am absolutely in love with this clutch. It feels like a hydraulic clutch. It's so smooth and light, and grabs at the perfect spot.

3-4 hours with a 2 hour lunch brake. With a lift 2 hours tops and that's being cautious.
