That's what I'm considering. Maybe 300/175, right now I have 375/250

I kinda want to do IRS if I'm going to keep it a street car.

They get wrecked vehicles from insurance companies and other sources and auction them off. So you would auction for a donor car essentially.

I thought the name of that company sounded vaguely familiar. Do you know what your position/responsibilities would be?

I'll be in their Leadership Development Program (LDP), which lasts about 12 months. You learn everything all the way from having classroom training at the corporate office in Dallas TX, to properly managing people, and even learning how to drive those huge loaders that pick up the cars. So you learn nearly everything and how it all works. At the end of it you become an assistant general manager for one of the locations (which you get to apply for where you want to go), so I can finally get out of California lol.

That sounds like it'll be a fun experience. Good luck!

2 things happened today.

Got the new tires on her. The 305s look amazing and fill the wheel well nicely.

And also blew another spark plug. At least I hope. I can tell a cylinder is down.

Well false alarm on the spark plug. I have no idea how but mid shift one of the COP wires got pulled.

This job should put you in a position to find a good deal on a donor for a Coyote swap... Or possibly a Voodoo?

I won't be able to actually buy one myself. But yeah I'm sure it would be more than easy to find a car and then have someone else do the buying for me. We'll see how everything goes. Depending on where I end up and what the cost of living is like that could affect some stuff. If I end up in an area with reasonably priced homes that I like I may buy a house.... I really like the price point and design of homes in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Houston as well. I could most likely afford a house within 18 months.

Your dollar will definitely go farther in Texas... Especially compared to the bay area!
And no state income tax in Texas!
And you're probably already accustomed to the heat, being from Sac.

Looks like I'll be heading to Dallas TX July 9th for the start of my training. I'll be there for a month before coming back to the Bay Area. I was given the option to start early for bonus training, but I may just take the month I have from the time of graduation. Won't ever have that much time off again.

So will you be working in the bay area after you finish the training in Texas?

Yeah, I'll be in the Morgan Hill area for the remainder of the training. Which is about a year. After that I get to relocate.

I worked at Copart for 7 years, traveled all over the US, only missed 9 states, IT stuff, new, moving, and site build outs

Well I keep thinking about it, so figured I'd put that feeler out there. Got a bite on the rear coilover, torque arm, and panhard bar set up. I just don't race the car anymore, and the set up is honestly so much of a pain to work on (especially if trying to pull the trans, which I want to get rebuilt), and drive on the street. If I get rid of this stuff I'll most likely be putting on Team Z UCAs, and stock springs for the time being.

2001 Bullitt Build Thread

Another update.
So far I've gotten a set of Eibach Sportlines and Team Z UCAs. Bilstein shocks and struts are showing up Tuesday, as well as new upper axle bushings. Once those show up I'll pull off the coilovers and torque arm. So the car should plant fairly well from a dig, and losing that torque arm will cut some good weight. The Panhard Bar will be staying on the car with the 4 link.

Figured I'd post here since I haven't in a long time.

Car is still for sale if anyone wants it. I've spent a collective 15 weeks in Texas this year for work, and probably at least another month or so. While being away I've realized I honestly don't really miss the car all too much. I'm ready for something new. Once I'm back home for a good amount of time I'll be getting some of the issues fixed and listing it officially all over the internet.

I like pretty much everything better than CA. I really like the Dallas area. I could for sure see myself living in that area.

I don't blame you. I have yet to find anything remotely interesting about CA. The politics destroy anything good.
