OEM Termi skirts also cost... way too much damn money. Problem is they look so good... All you need to do to a NE GT is:

-Bullitt side scoops
-Bullitt/Mach sail panels
-Termi skirts
-Mach lip/grille delete
-Spoiler Delete

You've now got one of the best looking cars on the road. Lowering it just makes everything better.

2001 Bullitt Build Thread

Already have the Termi skirts at home (had them over a year now). Have the cobra mirrors on the car.

I hate the stock bumper. Got a Roush one on the way. Going to make a front splitter for it.

Race seats coming summer time, I'm going to remove all sound deadening also.

Going to look for a GT trunk to build my own wing on. Like this. But I won't have the rods be so long.

I live on campus right now and can only have one car. So once I'm off campus and have space for another car I'll get something. Until then I only drive this car on weekends as it is

Alright, went to an autocross yesterday. Had a ton if fun.

Since my last one I did the driveshaft, brake pads, rotors, coilovers, and added negative camber. And let me say she handles amazingly now. Still lots of room for improvement, but I think there is still left in my ability, just gotta get more seat time to push her to her limits.

http://youtu.be/lxdg27iPKAo

Beat an STI by about 4 seconds. And I was only 2 seconds behind an 01 cobra (lower than mine) on Hoosiers. I'm running cheap Sumis right now.

Only three runs?

That looked good! Except for maybe the part where you almost took out the timing lights! Lol
You were hugging the cones a tad bit too much and not braking deep enough into the apex of the corners. The understeer is occurring because you are adding power too early and it is lifting the front of the car. You need to wait until after the middle of the apex and then add power and let the car drift all of the way to the outside of the track.
Tires will help also! Let me know before the next event, and I'll try to bring the Dunlops so that you can try a square setup and see if it makes a big difference or not.

Your next hood upgrade? I must say, Cervini's is in the process of creating one sexy hood.

2001 Bullitt Build Thread

Car needs a stiffer rear sway bar and a square wheel and tire set up. Staggered is adding to the understeer. Need to test fit some 18x10 up front, if they work I may get 18x10 all around and run some stickies.

And I wonder how that hood would look on a Roush bumper with a splitter and then wing in back..... Also is it functional?

Keep tuned in. Have a track day on the 4th also.

Cervini's Auto Designs "the center scoop is open to allow cool air in. The side heat extractors are also functional."

Cervini's Auto Designs "the price is TBD but it will be comparable to our other 99-04 Mustang hoods."

Cervini's Auto Designs "the hood will be live on our site next week."

We have them around here too. You have to be qualified to drive on them though. At least for the races. They won't just let any schmuck who wants to try out "teh twistiez" on.

There are places that put on events. Lots of them have beginner groups: as long as the car passes tech and you have the required stuff like a helmet you are good to go.

Most tracks have track days where you can turn some laps. I want to take my Boss and try it out at some point.

While we're on the subject of racetracks I have some cool old pics from Marlboro Motor Raceway you'd probably appreciate Recon. Its been closed since 69 but surprisingly it's still there. I've explored it a few times my grandfather used to go there back in the 60's it was a famous track back then. Click image for larger version

I should have 3 GoPros on the car tomorrow lol. One in the same spot as the Autocross video i posted a few days ago. Then maybe one on the outside and then will have to decide on the last one. I have a mount inside on my harness bar. Not sure if i want 2 inside or 2 outside though.

Ohhhh, yea those cars are beautiful... I recognize most of them and man such beautiful works of art...
And they were used for racing, I find many race cars to be more beautiful than a production road legal car...

57 250 testa rossa... Beauty at its finest, second only to the 62 250 GTO, such a unique design with the pontoon fenders, Enzo made some fine cars back then...
