BBK Mustang Dual Stage Upper Intake Manifold (96-04 4.6L 2V V8)

friend of mine just dropped a grand on one of these lol is it worth it ? any reviews on this?

Never even heard of one of those. I wanna see if any one has used one and what benefits are to be had from it

Your buddy is brilliant!

On a N/A engine he's going to see a whopping gain of about 10 hp over the stock PI intake manifold.
That's only $100 for each horsepower.
Where are you going to find a bargain like that?

It appears to be a copy of the Cobra manifold designed to be used on the 2V.

There's probably a slightly bigger gain in torque because that's what the manifold is designed to do... work well in all RPM ranges. It has electronically controlled butterflies that divert the airflow from the short runners to the long runners at different engine speeds. It seems like it would get gummed up with crap and need to be cleaned after a while... Just like the Cobras.
It will be interesting to see how it works on your friend's car.
I've never heard of anyone who actually used one before.
