B&M hammer console ratchet shifter

I've been thinking of getting a B&M hammer shifter for my automatic 2002 GT. Is it a good idea or bad? & will it mess up the trans

personally I would spend the money in other ways. Not going to mess up your trany you will be fine. Do you take your car to the track or just daily drive it?

I drive it daily that's another reason why I kinda don't wanna spend all that money. I could buy that or go the cheaper route and make it look kinda like a manual cause the shift knobs for An auto is ugly lol

No need for that shifter unless you need to go to a manual valve body for whatever reason. The computer will shift more consistently and at the exact correct time and can be modified for different needs like drag racing or DDing or whatever.

I'd j-mod your automatic trans and see how you like that first.

Just did the J mod in my 03 and it was pleasantly easy. But my transmission was out of the car at the time. Just jack the car way up to work under comfortably. The J mod has made driving with an automatic much more enjoyable!
