Do you drop the clutch or let it out easy?

What tires do you have?

What is done to your suspension?

Read the side of the tire. It should say.

You want to work more on suspension, that is the real key behind launching well. Get yourself a set of rear lower control arms.

What he is trying to get you to do is read the sidewall of the tire and let him know what the brand and model of tire you are running, not size or type. drag radial is a type, so check your sidewall again and find out the brand of tire you have on the rear and the model of the tire. I would assume it being a drag radial it is either a BFG or a Nitto.

You need suspension work.

Lower control arms, upper control arms (or Torque Arm), subframe connectors to start

I pretty much dump the clutch at 5k and mine hooks and goes like a bamf. Stock UCAs, Steeda lowers, car is lowered on BBK springs and Illumina shocks/struts. MM CC plates and BFG Comp 2 275/40/18 tires out back. Only issue is the ****ing 4 link rear end gets squirrely and snaps the rear when I bark the tires. If I keep the car, I'm not sure about adding the weight of a torque arm and the IRS needs $1k worth of mods plus the cost of the IRS to be servicable and is still better for t3h twistiez than the 1/4 mile. Looking into the Baseline/Team Z upper setup as ppl are cutting ridiculous 60 fts with them and they don't seem to be too hard on the torque boxes as long as the seams are welded.

That is another thing, the torque boxes in these cars usually need to be welded or install battle boxes or both if one is going to be doing serious launches.

Before I go "launching" in an auto, what should I do to prepare the car for that stress? I've tried youtube.ing, newb here, and there isn't really anything regarding auto. I've read a lot about people running them in this manner.

Any info would be appreciated. A friend wants to test his 07' Civic Si against my GT, and I want to know before I blow...something
