Question Information Request for a NEWB

Hello All!

I am new to Mustangs, and I'm really just new to the whole scene, "modding" cars all together.

I was wondering if there was a place that explained all sorts of upgrades, so I knew the cause/effect of what it is that I'm doing.

If the answer is, google it, I'm ok with that. I just want to know so if there's an easier way, I can save some time.

If there isn't, this could be a good idea for anyone motivated... A site like WebMD, but for a vehicle. You click on what area you want to know about, for this example... rear end.

The app zooms into the rear end "skeletal structure", all parts related are selectable. Then you hover over/click the part, differential, and it will describe the function of the differential, and parts related, new gears and axle, etc. Then for each part, it could explain the upgrades and how it affects the car.

I don't know if something like this exists, but it would be fantastic!

Otherwise, I will just troll forums and use the "google" for assistance.

Yup or you could just ask a question on the forum and get multiple opinions.
As for learning what parts do what, yes google haha. Or the search feature at the top of the page works.

Thumbs up Thanks

TurboCobra... I appreciate the information! I will do. I was just reading an article talking about a "K member", and whether it will work with x-engine. And was wondering.. the hell's a k member!

Guess I'll get my post count working!

A k-member is a girdle that is located under the engine. It supports the engine, and the rack-n-pinion is attached to the front of it. Also the lower front control arms are attached to each end to support your coils, struts and calipers, and wheels. An aftermarket K-,member is lighter, and usually comes recommended with the matching lower control arms.
