1998 Mustang gt correct oil grade

Hey guys just bought a mustang and not sure what type of oil my car uses? It did not come with a manual.

It doesnt have a sticker under the hood? Or on the oil cap?

It has a custom cobra hood with no sticker that I see anywhere.

According to google, it takes 5w-30.

Ya I oped the hood and my cap does not look like that mine just says motor oil with no grade.

If you ever have a question about something in the manual, Ford.com has .pdf versions.
1998 Mustang Owners Maunal, should be on pg 178
Yours takes 5 quarts of 5W-30.

Ford updated the spec for all modulars to 5w-20 a long time ago. With that said, 5w-30 will work fine. Hell, you can use 5w-40 Rotella if you wanted.
