Thanks! I had alot of help from my buddy since I don't have all the tools to make the job easier. Granted I did everything myself, but you have to start wrenching to learn! And you never stop learning either

One thing I like is the oil filter location in comparison to the 2v located on the side of block this one looks like it is easier to get out without making a complete mess.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. At first I wasn't sure if the front sway bar would hit or not, but there isn't any issues. And definitely easier to get to!

Just made an appointment for a dyno tune in mid February. The tuner was absolutely slammed until next week, and I'm going out of town for work. But I'll be excited to be there and see what she puts down!

Nice job on the swap!

I'm gathering parts for my own 4v swap and I am using an Aviator intake manifold as well. I'm pretty sure I saw you mention you used the Aviator throttle cable with some modification. Do you think it is possible to reuse the GT cable with some modification or no?

Thanks! Gt cable it too short. The aviator is a bit too long. So you could cut and weld the aviator cable like I did, or maybe try to use washers or something to pull up the slack.

I'm eagerly waiting to get back into town so I can get her dyno'ed. Although I'm also upgrading the radiator to an aluminum 3 core in the next week or so.

Good to know, I'll have to see what I can get my hands on. You're using an sct tuner and working off that at the dyno or what? Do you think an upgraded radiator will be nessecary? How's it feel with the imrc's?

The tuner will be using sct software. And yes, I'll be putting it on the dyno to tune it. I'm doing it because I took her out after the swap for some spirited driving, and the radiator starting to leak ever so slowly. It's the only thing I didn't replace on the car, so I figure I might as well go better than stock. I wired the butterfly valves open, to help in the top end since I've got 4.10s, and plenty of low end. But I'll be anxious to see what the power curve is on the dyno.

I got a question for you. How much do you think this swap would cost total?

Thanks! We'll I probably have close to $2,000 into the swap(not including a tune). But I got the engine for $500. And I did alot extra too. I'd say you could probably do the swap for close to $4,000, when it's all said and done. To be honest, if I was just looking for more power a vortech kit would be ideal for the cost. However, my engine was tired, and smoked a bit. So I figured why not 4v swap her? But it's the small things that add up. That's what will get you. Lol

hmm, damn, for some reason I thought it would be cheaper. I saw a thread somewhere, where you can put together a supercharger kit for under 2,000. I'm gonna start looking around for a used head unit.

Yeah you can put together a used kit for under 2k. That's what I did for my Foxbody. Just gotta look for a decent used head unit like you said. Superchargers online has all the parts for the kit, then just check corral.net and the classifieds for the actual blower.

Runs fine really. It's probably alittle rich, since it's got 24's, and the stock tune is for 19's, but she runs great. I also deleted the egr, and I expected it to run crappy. But she idles smooth, revs smooth, and you can feel the power after 3K rpms for sure. I've taken it to the stock red line and she kept pulling, didn't want to drop off

Here's pics of the radiator installed. Went with an SR three core aluminum. I also got a moroso coolant tank. I had to get a special upper hose for the new radiator as it was slightly bigger of an opening than the stock one. But my buddy finished it up tonight and it runs good. Looking forward to seeing her numbers soon!

Well, ths dismal wait is over.....The bank 1 O2 sensor is bad, and the tuner basically said my intake was too small, the headers were crap, and I should swap in a cobra or mach 1 intake....lol it will accept a much larger diameter cai. He said that it should be closer to 310rwhp at that point. So, looks like I will be upgrading this stuff soon enough!

Thanks, but I was hoping for more. After driving home, I realized there was a intermittent cylinder #2 misfire. The coolant return line from the heater core was pushing up against it, and caused it to pop loose. So I want to take it back, but I'm gonna upgrade the intake and maf before though.
