On the drivers side door jamb there is a sticker that contains some of the pertinent information about the vehicle including the build date.

My mustang doesn't have that. Is there another way?

If there is no door sticker, check under the hood and in the glove box. Your registration or title may say the build date on them.
If all of that fails, take the VIN number for the car to a local Ford dealership parts dept. and see if they can help you determine the build date.

Actually you can go online and use one of those vin websites, it may give you the build date that way.
