New tire.

Ok so I am going I need to buy new tires very soon. I was first thinking of getting the rim and tire deal on am. But that's like 1200. Now of course I am broke as heck and I will be financeing it. So most likly I will just get tires. What kind of tires do u recommend. I only want to pay up to the $150 a tire. What do u think of the nitto nt 555 I think that's the name

Don't bother with the AM cobo's
Tirerack for tires and craigslist or am or lmr or whoever for some rims.
Really depends what your looking for out of the tire Rollo. Do you want a performance summer tire? Do you want a good all season tire?
or winter tires?

Well I live in the desert. No snow here. I had nitto before there wernt bad. But that was for a v6. The reason I was going for am for the tires is because I can finance them. Don't have 600 right now.

I have never had Nitto's but from what I hear there nothing special.
One thing I can recommend is just ride your tires until you can save on the side enough to buy what you really want. Tires are basically the most important part of the car and not an area to cheap out on.

I may have missed it but what was the outcome with all that fuc kery that was going on with your car a few weeks back

Still working on it. I'm going to get spark plugs. The ones that were in it needed re gapped. But I don't want to take the chance. So I will just get the oem ones. There like 30 dollars. The car drives great at normal speeds. But when I come to a stop rpms got to about 500 are engine starts sounding like it wants to die and shakes up the whole car.

$150 is only going to get you cheap all season tires. They will last a while, but will be practically WD40 if you want to try and hook on any type of hard launch.

My Hankook Ventus RS3s were $150 each and they had great traction, but those were 17s

You are going to pay $1200 for a nice 18" wheel and tire setup, that is just the reality of it. If you are going to be putting tires on stock rims and want a tire that will actually bite on a budget, get these.

I run the Comp 2s and they bite great, no tire noise at all, smooth ride and they are cheap. way better than the Nittos. Nittos are overpriced as hell.

New tire.

I got the falcon Azenis 722 245/45/17 for 116 each from discount tire direct. 60,000 mile warranty and they are great wet or dry. Quiet also. Of course my car is all stock but they are great for me. You should check them out. I used to work for discount tire before I blew my knee out at work. You live in California so they are call america's tire there.
