3.8-5.4 swap..need some answers

Ok..so a while back I was talkin a little bit about the gt swap I WAS gonna do, but..that got ruined. Stupid mistake I made on my part. Got the motor, bought the accessories and pretty much everything I needed for the swap..then I painted the block. Took the oil pan off and what do ya know..the best present ever..a shattered rod laying in the oil pan and 2 other rods bent. Probably should have been the first thing i looked at. So I ran across a 2001 5.4 2v that I'm going to get for free. It's a complete motor but I'm wondering if the injector wiring harness would match the GT ecu harness. It's coming out of a expedition. And also what size clutch would I need for the 8-bolt flywheel.

You didn't answer either one of my questions..so unless you know the answer, you have nothing to say to me so your opinion isn't needed.

For a V8 conversion, you bolt it in like you would the 4.6L. Exhaust is a little different and you might need a cowl. Pretty much identical otherwise. Its a 99% bolt in and will have more bottom end but not really anything else up top.

What I would do if I were you if feasible is sell your V6 and just buy a GT and mod that. You are going to need the harness, fuel system, trans and a few other things out of the GT anyway. If you are still dead set on the swap, might as well get a donor car to make it easy.
