2003 GT Battery Light flickering

Give it between 5 to 10 minutes the battery light will flicker on and off. Battery gauge isn't moving. Still in middle. And at night all my lights interior and exterior will dim every couple seconds. I'm assuming alternator is going out. Will get that tested tomorrow. If it is I'm looking at the SR Alternator. Any thoughts on that? Haven't seen a bad review of it.

Just a thought, but unless you need that high of amperage for lighting or stereo, for $60 more (but 20A less) PA Performance has a painted one with lifetime warranty or go to autozone for like $5 cheaper (but 40A less) and a lifetime warranty.
Also, if the alternator checks out it could simply be a grounding problem.

My alt went out today, had to go to PEPBOYS and pick one up, lifetime warranty, and was not cheap at $240.00. I wanted to upgrade to a 150amp alt, but they did not carry any on the shelf so went OEM.

Still in the making Updates coming soon!

My alt failed same way. Flickering battery light. It would come and go. All voltages and connections were good. Weak diode in the alt.

Mine did the same thing, removed alternator and replaced the regulator and now everything is fine
