Groaning/Growl/Gurgle

This isn't a joke. Every morning I start my car and I get this groaning like sound coming from the engine bay and it sounds like it resinates down the exhaust. I've stood there with the hood open and tried to pin point where it's coming from but this "groan" doesn't seem be able to be found. In addition this groan is intermittent. Sometimes it will happen every morning and sometimes it happens periodically throughout a day. I wish we could upload small sound clips or short vids so you can hear. This is by far the most odd sound I've heard any car make and I've been wrenchin for about 20yrs. I'm stumped! Anyone had this "groaning" issue?

2002 Gt 3650 trans all stock except MSD COP, flow masters, and suspension. Nothing too crazy

But it happens even at operating temp. It will happen periodically in a day. It's very random and I can't seem to hear where it's coming from. From the cabin of the car is loud but from under the hood it's hard to hear. Very very odd!

I'm just imagining this sound, but does it sound like possibly the coolant gurgling, like when you fill the radiator, then crank it and it starts going through the system? Maybe there is a problem with a kinked hose or maybe the thermostat sticking, then popping out making the coolant flow inconsistently. I'm just shooting in the dark. If you get the chance you should upload a video or sound clip (under "Go Advanced" when you post, go to the attachment icon and click the video/sound clip.) I can't think of anything mechanical making a groan/gurgle sound, I would guess some kind of fluid.

That's what I was thinking. I have no drivability issues nor power loss. Car runs tits.

I was wondering if it is the vac operated doors for air flow settings (foot, dash, windshield) or blend door that may explain loud inside quiet underhood. As far as coolant gurgle have you done any work to that system?

coolant except when way low won't affect driveability....

Engage your clutch and see if you hear it. I have a gurgle type sound everyday. And I notice that when I engage the clutch. It goes away. I only hear it when in the car. Not out the car. I'm sure it has to do with my clutch obviously.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the EGR valve sticking open/closed. I notice it when I'm at idle at a stop light and when it happens my idle will fluctuate for and sec and motor shakes a little. It's runs slightly ruff for a split sec. This situation is very odd. I'm still trying to capture a video but it's hard to hear it. I'll try for another take this afternoon.

It's not the clutch. If your Stang has a growl coming from your bell housing area it's likey that your throw out bearing it shot. You you depress your clutch pedal and you hear a growling noise then your TO bearing is bad. They wear out over time or that means you ride your clutch too much. When your at a stop light don't leave your car in gear and have your foot holding down the clutch. Your putting excessive wear on that bearing. Or if the sound is happening opposite of when you depress the pedal it's your pilot bearing possibly.

But as far as my issue goes I've noticed that it's intermittent when A/C is off and then when I turn on my A/C it's constant.
