The 3.7 are pretty quick ..

A stock one won't give you much trouble ..
A bolt on one will..
Full bolt ons will help you out.
With gears

Ah. The mods you listed you can take down. 11+ v6. I think the v8 will still have the tq on ya, so idk about it. Add some suspension and a good set of back tires wouldn't hurt either. Number show stock new edge GT is a drivers race with a 11+ v6. Maybe do a jmod on your tranny too.

Jmod deals with altering stuff in your automatic trans. I'm not sure what all entails to do it but pretty sure it makes it shift faster.

Some one that knows more and how to do it will chime in soon. Pretty sure Scotty knows all about these as he recommends it some times to people

What i need to beat a new v6 or 05-10 gt

I work third shift at the John Deere factory here in town and I used to race with a 2v after every shift until he got moved to first.

In the beginning my car was stock and he had a CAI, 4:10s, and exhaust. He would take me really good. Both of us were manual.

He was a much better driver though. Keep that in mind.Ive never really been able to launch worth a poop.

With just an intake and tune, my 2014 3.7 with 2.73's, stock tires and a manual trans managed to do a 13.6 @ 105.2. Full bolt on 2v's have trouble running that on stock tires, especially that MPH.

I have ran a few 2v's .. it's generally within a car length or two to 80 and then the 3.7 starts pulling easily.

Just my experience but 2v's are slower stock for stock, and slower mod for mod than a 3.7. A 3.7 and a 3V are generally a drivers race.

So im looking at getting pypes the beast exhaust, cai and tuner combo, 4.10 gears, underdrive pulleys, a shift kit, and maybe a throttle body. Should that do the trick?

A lot of bolt on 3v's are trapping between 107-109 is what I have seen lately where I live. Bolt on 3v's are pretty common now and days. I would say gears full bolt ons and a baby shot will put them in your taillights

What i need to beat a new v6 or 05-10 gt

The 05-10 v6 is slower then a npi stock mustang gt so ur pi mustang will blow its doors off, now the 05-10 3v is a bit more challenging they make more hp and are strong stock but they aren't coyote strong a full bolton pi motor mustang will pull on a stock/ almost stock 3v and if u wanna hurt its feelings throw in some cams and dust it, now a 2011 - 2014 v6 is stout for a v6 and will take about the same mods as the older 3v to beat ( crazy huh ) and the coyote mustang u can forget unless u have a blower and hope they dont have some cams or a blower themselves, my curiousosity is the newer ecoboost turbocharged motor i havnt researched it really but i know its a powerfull little motor and im not sure what one of those stangs runs stock in the 1/4 and im not sure what power output its putting down to the wheels, ill reaearch this on my lunch break lol
