A little "play" in the steering wheel issue

Any ideas what would cause this and what the remedy is?

Get under the car and watch carefully while someone rocks he wheel back and forth.

My steering shaft seems to have play in the telescoping section. I'm not sure if there's some type of bushing in there or not but the inne shaft definitely rotates a little inside the outter shaft.

For a bad steering shaft, replace the shaft. For your car I have no idea lol. You're gonna have to find the problem first.
