I know I had to drop the k member to do my longtube install on my 01.

It might be do-able by someone with really small hands (like that guy from the Burger King commercials) but a normal "good ol boy" mechanic will probably struggle getting clearance.

If you have stock manifolds you dnt have to drop the k member I replaced the gaskets on the passenger side of my Mach I had to remove the starter and it was a pain in the button but I got it done.

I just dropped mine , just need a couple Jacks and someone to help. Maybe you can get it with it on , but tight space.

Space was very tight but getting the starter off was the worst part of it

I did it on the passenger side if I remember correctly. It's no fun but doable.

You're gonna have to loosen motor and trans mounts and jack the engine up as high as you can. Also don't forget the strut tower brace if you have one
