93 octane tune

if you decide to change your tune from 87 to 93 octane , and you have 87 in the tank, could you put octane boost and switch?

I don't trust that the "over the counter" octane boosters do what they say they'll do, so, if it were me, I'd run the 87 octane until the tank was near empty and then fill up with 93 octane and then switch tunes.
And remember, our cars don't have a return for the fuel system so, no matter what you do, it will take at least 4-5 miles for whatever fuel that you have in the tank to reach the engine.

I always fill up 91 octane for two fill ups before switching tunes

You can run your 87 tune with 93 but shouldn't run a 93 tune with 87 so I'd fill it with 93 when near empty burn through that tank then fill up again with 93 and switch over to your 93 tune.

Btw look into octane boosters on the web. I seen a video awhile ago on them and even the most expensive "quality" octane boosters are garbage. They actually hurt power and mpgs by and very small amount.

Octane boosters are a joke. There was an independent lab that did a test on several over the counter ones and the best one made a .4 difference. I will try to find the article.
