Unless you are getting them for free. For how used they are I wouldn't pay for them.

Depending on the tread that's left you might be able to get some life out of them. Are these going on a dedicated set of track wheels or are they gonna be a set of dd tires?

They look too used to me. Did you measure the tread? Maybe offer him 35 bucks for both. That wouldnt be bad of you can get 6-8 months out of them

You are going to hydroplane in the rain with those tires, spin out and smash up your car. Then probably get a ticket for driving on them. Is it really worth the price of a new set to risk all of that?

Tires tread

Tires are something you should not cut corners on. I mean they are the only thing on your vehicle that keeps it in contact with the road. As the person above me stated, your print slot at risk to save maybe $200.00 on a decent tire.

Wide tires in the Winter are going to suck no matter what, no tread will make it even worse. Those tires look pretty wide in the picture.

You really have a problem with wheel spin on a daily driver? Sounds more like a daily racer.

I will also point this out, those tires on the top of the stack look like Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500 tires. Hard to tell if the bottom two are the same. Nevertheless, if those are the tires I believe they are, then they are Ultra High Performance Summer tires. Not for snow, not even for cold weather. Even if you buy new tires, make sure you know what you are getting. If you are looking for tires to run this Winter, do not buy Summer tires.
