Scavenging (Cam Profiles)

I have been reading a lot about different cam profiles and the different effects etc. Our 4.6 2v motors do not rev safely too high in stock form. Would any scavenging (even a minor overlap of the cam) help our motor or is it really only for a higher rpm range?

I think that the sort of cam profile that you are referring to would be more for the upper RPM range and you would actually lose some power at lower RPM's.

Yea and unless u have a good lower intake ( like mr bullitt there his car comes with one ) u wont make good hp at higher rpm because the plastic pi intakes are good intakes up till about 6500 rpms after that they tend to die out so unless u are planning on a better intake and a high revving motor build id stay away from the higher operating range cams
