Squeaky clutch?

Just noticed today that when I depress my clutch it makes a very audible squeak on the way down. Works just as normally as it always has, just squeaks. Kind of like a bird's chirp almost. The hell is that?

Throw out bearing. Mine does it to. I just ignore it, it doesn't hurt nothing.

One quick squeak on the way down, or squeaking while depressed?

Then its probably just somewhere along the cable line. You could press and listen for it with the engine off and try to locate it, and if you can reach it, spray silicone lube on it.
Only if you feel like it. Not a major issue or symptom of something breaking.

Could be the plastic quadrant on the way out if its coming from in the car. If not, most likely TOB.

I'd replace the plastic quadrant even if its good. Max Motorsports sells a quadrant/cable/adjuster setup that is top notch and includes an OEM cable. That's another thing, if you have a non OEM cable or aren't sure if the cable you have is OEM or not, its a good idea to replace your cable with an OEM unit. Too many ppl find out the hard way not to use parts store cables.

Replace the plastic quadrant. The older these cars get the more chance of the plastic quadratns getting brittle/cracking/breaking.

If it makes a high pitched bird chirp sound right when you push the pedal in, and it goes away just as fast, that's the TOB touching the pressure plate fingers. The TOB is either not spinning at all or just barely spinning and then it's touching and suddenly spinning fast. Mine does this. It's cool.
