Coyote Swap Build

So i officially got a better paying job and now have the budget to actually build a car. I have a full bolt on Longtube catless, slight suspension mods with 95xxx on it and i can tell the motor is getting weaker. I am going to do a coyote swap and build the rest of the car. I want a nautrally asspirated car that will show up a lot of people and still get decent drivability. I was just wonderinginf if anyone knows about any problems with the swap? or any info at all?
Thanks All

I considered it. Its a hell of a swap (good and bad)

Read through this entire thread and the links that are posted. Also, look up TJ Lapinski and Calvin Atwell, both of them have done the swap into New Edge's

Sell your car and buy a 11+ GT. I priced out the swap, you are damn near $20k when done even using a F150 motor which is $2500-$3k. You can get a clean 11 GT with low miles for $20k.

If you want a N/A car that will show up a lot of people then skip the Coyote entirely and drop in one of these bad boys.
It will save you from having to upgrade later on!

This is Calvin Atwell's 2002 GT with a coyote swap and a VMP blower. Full weight street car and it runs 9s.

And this is TJ's, this was 11.3, i believe he hit 11.0 recently, shooting for 10s. That is an N/A Coyote.

Both cars are manual transmissions also. Oh and they are related lol

Those would be 6 second cars if they had swapped in Sonny's engines instead of Coyote's....

Read the link to the thread I posted. And read all the links inside that thread. And all the links inside those links lol. I know a good amount about what is going to supposedly happen during the swap, from what I hear the biggest PITA is the ungodly amount of wiring and relocating ****. The motor can actually physically drop onto the stock K member.

Lol @ lighter wallet making car go faster.

In the end, one has to pay to play. If I wanted an Edge with that sort of power, I'd go find a Terminator for $18k because that is a FAIR price for one with 40-50k miles on it in stock/stockish form. People asking $25k for them... lol please. There's even an auto swapped one on SVTP for $18k with like 30k miles which I'm amazed is still for sale because that right there is your damn near perfect drag car once SRA swapped.

Eh, to each their own. Nice thing about the termi is you dont have to touch the internals until the 600whp range. You can "build" the rest of the car like do a full suspension/blower swap/upgrade the trans and the car will never be down for more than a few days. When motors come out to get built... things tend to sit...

If ur gonna use a stock iron new edge block then why not just go to jy and get one for $100 so u can still be driving ur car the whole time? Thats what im doin lol and when ur finished with the motor u can do the swap in a day so ur car isnt down really at all , your only down time would be waiting on ur dyno appointment for the tune 👍

Because if you are going to build a 4.6L you might as well spend an extra $100 now and get the BEST block available that will also drop 75lbs off the nose of the car without any other modifications at all. Anyone doing any sort of racing or even just spirited street driving will tell you this is huge. I'm actually hoping to have mine sold tomorrow, dude is coming at 4 tomorrow or so he says, we'll see. I'm getting rid of it because I have owned my last 4.6L powered car.
