Bigger sidewall

I'll make this short. I want to run a tire with a bigger sidewall on my 03 gt. What's the biggest sidewall that's possible with staying 245 wide. For example a 245 55 compared to a stock 245 45. Besides throwing off a speedo what issues would I face.

Bigger sidewall

Stock 17s?

Biggest I'd go is 245/50-17 since stock is 245/45-17. That'll go from a 25.68" tall tire to a 26.65" tire

Any size other than stock is going to throw off the speedometer though. You need a speedo adjustment for anything not stock size.

Yea on stock 17s. I'm not lowered and don't want to to go any bigger than 17. I can correct my speedo so I'm not too worried about that. Just want to have a lot more meat on my tires. Guess I could always get some 15s lol

Remember. When going with a larger diameter it is the same as dropping your gearing. Same effect. So it will make the car accelerate a little slower.
