Dome light won't shut off

Dome light won't shut off so I've removed it for now. I'm pretty sure the switch has gone bad in the door latch. Has anyone taken the latch out and replaced/repaired it? I would like to fix this so my battery doesn't run dead. Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

No. It started randomly blinking on while driving and shutting the door again would make it go off for a while but it would come back on.

Try cleaning the switch and using silicon lube on it. My car (04 gt) did the exact same thing. The switch was stuck on mine. I used WD-40 and Silicon spray lube and have not had anymore issues.
