Straight pipes?

I got my exhaust done a couple months back on my 02 gt with an o/r x pipe and muffler delete ( straight pipes ) i had it for about 2 weeks. Then i got pypes m80 mufflers because it was just way too loud and the drone was super annoying. Now it is still loud above 3000 rpms but i can at least keep it relative quiet if i want to. My suggestion is to just get some kind of bullet style mufflers if you want it really loud.

I think it's a cheap and stupid way to make the car sound louder. It doesn't really sound good to me

I agree. You need some kind of muffler to give it some tone.

Yeah, I've ran straights for awhile. Its annoying loud and good luck trying to talk to someone while driving. Rather have flowmasters or stock mufflers for that matter lol.

Look for a good used off road pipe, I found one slightly used for 90 bucks. Have been using it for 3 years now with no issue. Then get some straight thru mufflers and it will have tone and be all out loud. Get a slp lm2 or 1, magnapacks, m-80s by pypes, stingers, etc.

Straight pipes sound like a bag of *** and will make your entire neighborhood want to key your car. Don't be that guy.

You mean cut outs? Or dumps? I ran dumps for awhile, if you run the right muffler and aren't a jerk in a neighborhod, they are fine. Cutouts should only be opened up at the track IMO.

This is totally just ur opinion, My video off my phone is ****ty tho, and hardly accurate, but I've had compliments numerous times and always get questioned what mufflers I'm running...(I have cats tho, which makes a huge difference) it's honestly not that crazy loud, but I can't deny the drone at certain freeway rpm's. We all have our preferences to sound, but a bag of *** imo is a Honda with a fartcan muffler, certainly not my straight pipe gt

Sounds like crap to me.

People often mistake loud for sounding good, it's like the idea of being super loud makes it just sound good to them.

My car isn't the loudest, but it has beautiful tone to it, and can still be heard decently without making everyone else hate you.

I have personally heard X pipes and SLPs in person and it just does not sound right.

Technically this video is against the rules. But it is for sound purposes only.

Mac Offroad H, Flowmaster Super 44s.

Same set up, on the dyno
