Subwoofer in trunk

Alright so i was thinking about getting a subwoofer in my trunk.
Has anyone done this before and knows the specs and all the materials that i will need? btw its a 2002 mustang gt premium with the mach1000 sound system.
Is there anyway to also replace the other speakers in the car?
Thanks in advance

I have put a pretty nice stereo system in my 2000 gt. Im sorry to tell you this but with these cars you pretty much have to rip out all the stereo equipment thats in the car and start from scratch. The way that the mach system is set up, its a huge pain to bypass the factory amps and stuff. Either way, if you want to put a sub box in the trunk you'll have to rip out that huge speaker box that came with the car to make it fit nice. Good luck with the stereo, I have about 10 hours invested in mine (worth it to me)

check out, and make sure that when you select your vehicle, that it knows you have a mach1000. that should lead you to what fits, and they usually add on free installation pieces if you buy from them.

I just put in an infinity bass link system in the trunk and it sounds great.
