Supercharger build for $2200

Just want to let everyone know on here that I just finished installing a vortech v-1 supercharger kit for my car. It was bought used, of course, but all in all, I only have $2200 total invested in the entire kit. So, for anyone who has been thinking of supercharging but money is an issue and most people say you need at least $3k to get it done, be patient and and you can make it happen for around $2k.
I've been piecing this kit together since about June and just finished the install 2 days ago. I have an appointment to get it dyno tuned early next week and I'm very excited.
My pre-supercharger dyno run was at 242hp. I hope to see 350hp with 8-10 psi

That's exactly what i'm hoping for, to keep up with coyotes. There are 2 close to stock 2013 mustangs in my family and my best friend just bought an 06 gto. My best wish is to be able to pull all of them in a friendly drag race. I know I'll have less horsepower but I'm also a good 400+ lbs lighter than all of them. But I'll find out in a week!

Bolt on and tune with a vortech on a 2V will take you up past 400whp. I say tune it to 425 safely and call it good. Then start working on suspension because on stock suspension you'll get appx 2% of that power to the ground.

The word is out on them, they go for $800-$1000 now for a good S trim but you can piece together the rest of the brackets for not a super lot more. Sometimes deals come along. Nobody ever seems to factor in fuel/tune to it though or you'll see threads "will my #21s be ok with a FMU?" threads.

What's the point of forced induction if you have no fuel for it? Where should I look for them? I usually do ebay but I'm sure there are better places.

Your going to need more than 420 at the tires in a 2v to keep up with a 400 hp coyote at the tires. Real talk not bull****

I found my kit on a forum for sale. I originally paid $1400 for the kit that had the head unit, plumbing, BPV, MAF, etc. I then had to buy injectors and fuel pump. So my fuel delivery is all taken care of.
I have suspension taken care of as well, at least I think so. I have subframe connectors, eibach shocks struts and sway bars, in the process of ordering control arms, and have 295 extreme contact tires. I think I'll be ok with that setup

I'm not sure if I completely agree with this. I would 100% agree that the new coyotes are beasts and deserve respect but a 2v with 420hp at 3300lbs versus a 400hp coyote that weighs about 3500lbs should go in favor of the 2v.
The best answer is at that point it will come down to which car has the better driver

it won't.
Even my old supercharged 3v making 430 SAE corrected. Got beat by full exhaust/ bolton coyotes.

Remember a Bolton coyote on pump gas is low 11 second car. And can dip into the 10' with e85 NA.

Not putting the 2v down. Had a 2v for my first mustang b4 my 03 cobra.

Well you are probably right about the bolt on ones. But I was originally implying that I would be going against 2 stock 2013 mustangs. They don't have bolt ons or anything so that was my thought process.
Either way, its not important to me whether I beat them or not. My car will be a lot more fun to drive. And for me, at 21, about 400hp will be plenty enough for my daily driver lol
