Shocks for Auto-crossing

My 99 Cobra came with Bilsteins, anyone have any experience with these? Are koni's a better shock for auto-crossing?

It depends on the set up. Which springs are you running?

I autocross my car and i recently put in Maximum Motorsport Coilovers, which use Koni Yellows. There haven't been any autocross events recently so i haven't gotten to test it out, but it does feel more planted.

The reason i went with the Konis over the Bilsteins was their range of adjustability. The Bilsteins you can get grooved for a specific range of coilover rates, but the Konis can actually be adjusted.

I don't have a clue as to which springs I am running as I just bought the car 2 months ago. But the koni's which are adjustable sounds more to my liking anyway. I don't know if I need them or not as the car seems to corner like a go kart! Oh I do have maximum motorsports calibration too on the front shocks!

If someone put bilsteins in the car then they most likely changed out the springs, should be easy to tell because they will be a different color, and most companies use the same color for their springs.

HR reds and bilsteins is a tried and true combo. Make sure you also have cc plates and the alignment is good and roll. Bilstein is one of the best shocks you can buy.
