Suspension suspension suspension.

Don't do heads and cams, just supercharge if you want more power. You'll be 100whp more than if you did heads/cams for less money and get better street manners and gas mileage too.

Would love to SC it but the budget for that isn't there yet. Maybe another year before that happens

Then the budget isn't there for heads and cams either. You can get a blower on the car for under $3k if you know what you are doing including the tune. You just have to buy a low mileage used Vortech, put together the fuel system yourself and then get a good remote tune from someone like MPT.

Well I found PI Heads from an 04 for about 500 an cams are around 600. Seems like that might be in budget as long as the heads are sound. Or should I be looking at a different head to go with the cams

You already have Pi heads. I got stage 2 comp cams. Easy to install. Just have to get a tune. Which isn't expensive.

Yeah dude anything after 98 was pi heads and intake. Cammed and full bolt ons on a 2v with a tune is 290-300 rwhp. And cams are $550 for just the cams. You still need to get them degreed, TFS sprocket, gaskets install etc... Figure closer to $1000 if you DIY. Double that if a shop does it. I still don't think its worth it at all. Just put the $$$ towards a blower.

OK that's what threw me off cause I put pi heads on my 98 so I assumed I had to do the same on this one. Well I will definitely keep my out for a SC. This is still a couple months down the road. Maybe I will put it off longer an save sum more but I get the gotta do sum thin new to the car itch an have to scratch it
