Throttle Body for 2002 GT. Should I?

I have a 2002 GT and I only have a cold air intake. Everything else is stock and I don't have much money for big parts. Any suggestions? I was thinking a throttle body.

Throttle body will not be noticed at all my man. What about mufflers to give it more rumble?

probably get more use out of a plenum before a throttle body. Exaust is good if you wanna go for sound, especially mixed with a cold air intake. if your on a budged, keep an eye on craigslist and get used parts. mufflers and aftermarket midpipes should last a lot longer than stock, so used isnt a bad route. but i would put money in the suspension first. if you need new shocks, thats a good time for coilovers if that interests you. change your bushings. front and rear. horsepower doesnt have all of its glory with bad traction. hange your bushings. I would imagine 3.73 gears would make your tires slide a lot more if your suspension is old. I'm also assuming that your bushings are all from 2002, and never replaced like mine was.

I would take all of the money you would spend on a million small mods like that, and put it toward something that's going to render real results. Maybe some long tube headers in the future. Or just save up until you can afford a power adder of some sort. Im telling ya, a 75 shot of nitrous is like 500 bucks, isn't going to rip the engine apart, maintain all driveablility, and not ruin gas mileage at any time that you're not spraying.

Longtubes are the last thing I would do on a 2V or not at all with a power adder.

-Shifter (MGW)
-Catback
-Mid Pipe (BBK)
-Gears (4.10s)
-Subframes (Steeda)
-Plenum/TB combo (Trick flow 75mm)
-Tune (MPT)
-Suspension

That is a nice solid low 13 second car with a good driver and the order I would install it all in and the brands I would use myself if I was doing another PI 2V.

Then worry about a power adder. If staying NA, then I'd look at longtubes and a new mid pipe but by the time one gets a good set of longtubes/mid pipe you could damn near buy a used supercharger kit.

I dunno how the "you need to do headers" holdover from the pushrod days is still around but on a 4.6L the stock manifolds are not restrictive like the godawful headers on the 95-down cars were. They don't need to be swapped out unless you have a built motor with a lot of boost or are staying NA and are trying to squeeze every last drop of power out of it.
