If the airbags went off you should probably replace everything as far as the sensors and the module. As far as the airbags themselves, the steering wheel airbag just unbolts and unplugs. Pass airbag you just drop the glove box door and unbolt it and then pull it out. Very easy to change them, just gotta be careful since they've deployed. On a car where they have not deployed, swapping airbags is a 30 minute job.
Also, all 94-04 use the same plugs and connections and everything but to get the right color you need to stick with 99-04 or it won't match.
