Live and let live man. If you're really that wound tight about a few minutes of "thump thump thump", then maybe you need to re-evaluate your attitude. I suggest some marijuana or Xanax depending on your views

How to make any car hater proof:

1.) Work out a lot and get muscular. (check)
2.) Have a hot girl in the passenger seat (check)
3.) Drag radials
4.) Nitrous
5.) Hand gun on the dash board.

Drag radials and nitrous?

So your saying this car isn't hater proof?

No, it was a joke lol. Your steps said nitrous and drag radials. Road racers and autocrossers don't use drag radials or nitrous lol

They also don't use hot girls or hand guns do they? lol.

I would like to do some autocross though this summer. Just dabble in it to start off like I did with motocross. I am looking for a new passion like that, but one that is less likely to kill me. I almost died racing moto :/ Bad feeling when you have to quit what you love

Panther, I can't stop laughing. That good. There's my laugh for the night.

I'm just saying when it's obnoxious.

the pipes and stereo can both be obnoxious. I'm not discrediting that. I agree. I know usually when I'm in traffic I'll hear this thumping and look and it's some piece of junk car where the sound system probably more valuable then the car and it's sitting on 22s with chrome up to the kazoo.

Depends on the area. Around school if I'm driving around or going places I'll leave my windows down (no vert) since I know it's a nice area. At home I roll them up and lock the car at all times.

Also don't really keep anything in the car so they won't find anything.

Daytona Beach -FLORIDA-

Once a year there is a huge convention of Boom Box lovers here in the Convention center. I'll bet there are at least 500 to 1000 cars show up with their cars all decked out with huge amps and speakers. You can't go anyplace in the area without your eye teeth shaking. These people put a lot of $$$$ and effort into their cars sound system along with dancing colored lights. It is a great event for the people that are into their sound systems and well worth attending.

Has anyone one the forum attended this?

Ronnie

I only like the black fabric for a convertible top. The tan and the white tops just don't look good.

I loved the MG Midget i had in college; obviously a convertible. That top leaked in heavy rain and did not have a liner.

All convertibles should have roll bars for safety.

Driving with the wind blowing your hair is great! Anyone who hates a convertible as a DD driver must be either jealous or mean or hasn't experienced it or, maybe, all three. Sure, the convertible car is a little heavier that a hard top and not as aerodynamic, but why hate it? Come on, man! It's a fun driving experience!

Have a big Mustang day!

The only color new edge that looks really really good with a tan top is that Burgundy red one with some nice wheels

No, that's the only one that looks half decent. The correct top color is black, just like the interior. Which is another thing I have no idea wtf Ford was doing in 99 when they went from straight black to that charcoal. I've seen dudes with New Edges swap down to 94-98 interiors and that's what I would do.

White is always the first color to look bad as it weathers and ages.

He meant White vinyl top. Paint doesn't collect dirt like vinyl so I have no doubt that your car looks great. But you have a black top lol so its not what he was talking about.

I love bringing back old threads...and how are verts feminine? There will always be haters, but hey I'm used to it. I love people's reaction when they get excited about a red mustang, and it's a GT, and there they pout when I say it's an Auto. I just say "let's race then" and always beat them unless they have dramatic mods. Vert's do have a weight disadvantage, but they also have stronger structures.

Um, verts most certainly DO NOT have stronger structures. They actually need extra chassis bracing.

How am I hater ? My opinion is that. I'd feel feminine in a vert.

Weight. My friends vert weighs about 300lbs more than my coupe. Now on just a cruiser yea a vert would be awesome. But my Mustang is used for performance.
