How much horsepower can be lost with blown head gaskets?

Just wondering because recently found out I have blown head gaskets and wondering how much horesepower I will regain from doing this. My car feels slow now

It depends on how much coolant is leaking into the combustion chamber and how bad the gasket actually is.

I would bet you lose a noticeable amount of power with even a moderately blown head gasket. I cant put a number on it though.

... you will lose a lot of power when that water makes it into your oil and blows your engine. Get it replaced.

What he said ^ blown head gaskets are expensive and sometimes the damage is too far set in. Hopefully you havnt been driving it!
