Create Ram Air Hood?

What do you guys think about making a stock 04 GT hood a ram air? Would that be a good idea? Or is it just a stupid thing I should stay away from?

It's been done before, but the issue you're gonna run into is the factory scoop isn't held on very well and already has a tendency to fly off even without making a hole into the engine bay for air flow. Your best bet is to get a Mach 1 setup or buy one of the aftermarket ram-air Mach 1 hood kits.

There is a support inside of the hood scoop mesh area, it connects down and is what keeps the scoop on. When people take out the mesh that's when you lose the support and it flies off.

If you really want it functional. Cut a hole in the hood from the bottom. Then drill holes through the mesh area to the part blocking it, but leave the mesh in.

Also the only thing that'll do is blast air into your manifold, which really won't do anything since it won't get hot enough, unless you are supercharged with a twin screw. Also it'll get super dirty. If you want it to be functional the right way and feed air to the intake you want a Mach 1 hood and shaker.
