The whole bezel comes out as one piece. All those "screws" are fakes, that ring snaps into the bezel. With a stick shift car you have the boot so you can just reach under the bezel lip and just pull up. For an auto, I'd just get something that isn't going to mess up the plastic trim and pop it out with that.
