Mid-pipe

I have a pro muffler shop that can do mid-pipe, cat back work. Would it be cheaper if I let them make an off road h-pipe, x-pipe for my car? Would it really be worth it since these name brand mid pipes are a little pricey. Not saying I couldn't afford it but would it be smarter for them to do it?

Depends really you can pick up a brand new UPR Off-road X piper for 159$ off their website. So if they can make you a half way decent xpipe for less then that you might be in luck.

X-pipe will give you too much rasp and popping with SLP's. You need an H-Pipe.

Borla or magnaflows with the UPR Xpipe sound amazing. The fitment on the UPR is pretty spot on aswell.

Pro chamber, or just an h pipe.

Depends on your budget. Prochamber is quite nice. A simple H-pipe is cheaper.

The SLP's and Prochambers are perfect for each other. Many have this combo and love it.

see if you can get a listen to both. I would definitely go with a cheaper aftermarket over custom. I have had many X pipe guys say they like the sound of my H better and the HP difference, if any, is too negligible to measure.

You have no idea how many times I've been listening. It's down the the BBK off road x pipe and the pro chamber

Didn't realize it was a hybrid style mid pipe. its a mix between an H pipe and Xpipe. It wasnt the sound I was thinking of when I ordered it. I wanted something that would pop a little but this is just a low rumble. Plus fitment is terrible, it will not seal on the drivers side manifold, and the ball and socket that connects to the cat back exhaust has never sealed. So because of the gap between the manifold and Xpipe it rattles some gawd awful noise around 2k rpm. Not saying that all BBK Xpipes will do this but i was very unlucky on how bad mine mated up.

Come April I will be ordering a UPR Xpipe to take care of the issue.

It will sound good? Sound tone will make a difference when my cats come off and the pro chamber installed?
