Question Gathering for rear end gears

Would this all I would need for gear swap? Noticed when I swap my midpipe that my Rear End is leaking from the Gasket. So I figure I'd do gear swap.

Ford Racing 4.10 Mustang Gears M-4209-G410A (99-04 GT) - Free Shipping

Ford Racing Mustang Ring & Pinion Installation Kit - 8.8in M-4210-B2 (86-14 V8, 99-04 Cobra, 11-14 V6) - Free Shipping

Royal Purple Max Gear 75w140 Mustang Gear Oil 1301 - Free Shipping
That is the right Gear Oil, correct? For 2000 GT. Three bottles. Don't need the Friction Modifier if RP has it?

Ford Racing Finned Mustang Differential Cover - 8.8in M-4033-KA (86-14 V8; 11-14 V6, Excludes IRS) - Free Shipping
This is just for looks.

That looks pretty complete.
You might also consider installing new clutches in the Trac-Lock differential as well.

yes. They are tougher and more upgraded. supposed to be the kind they put in the gt500 and cobras. its like putting a stage 1 or 2 clutch in a stock gt. there might be some minor drawbacks, but the benefits are stronger construction and longer lasting.

otherwise there is a cheaper one without the carbon fiber. just depends on how overbuilt you want it.

Like others have stated. It looks pretty complete. And yes do put the ford racing friction modifier in there. Start with the friction mod and then fill with the royal purple.

The carbon fiber clutches are an easy install so might as well do them. I noticed no change in drive ability with mine.

Hey Slash,

You've got everything covered!

Make sure to time some time when installing as the shimming process can get tedious but it's so worth it in the end!

What are your plans for the car next?

Thank you for your continued business and support and let me know if you have any questions!

-Will

When I had my Ford racing 410 gears installed the installer I used did not want to use the royal purple as they said they have had it damage gears before. It's a ring and pinion Shop/installer been in business 55 years. When I asked Why he said he has used it before with the Ford racing gears and has had issues. Noise and friction issues so he ended up redoing them. I don't know if this is True or not? I went with what he said and he used standard fluids and they are great and no issues. But this is the second Shop that told me the same thing. I don't know if there is anything to it or just preference? Has anyone ever heard this or been told this?
