Question Dont think im getting good enough oil flow

when i pull the valve covers off and have the motor running shoulnd it have oil flowing and not just trickling out like it is

Yes. I wondered about that when I watched that vid the first time that it was posted.
I've never run a modular engine with the valve cover removed but every time that I've run a push rod engine, with the cover off, the oil is going everywhere! Especially, onto the hot exhaust manifold.

What does the oil guage in the cluster say?
The only way to be absolutely sure of an accurate reading is to attach a mechanical oil pressure guage.

You definitely have something wrong and it could be related to oil pressure. It's not unheard of for the gears in the oil pump to break on these engines.

I think the gauge is wrong cause it never moves just stays right over half when running

The gauge is a dummy gauge. Every one of our cars will show the needle in the exact same spot. All that the gauge is telling you is that you at least 6psi(I think). Google it if you don't believe me.

I've ran mine without the valve cover and it made a mess.

Yea. Same here. I did a valve spring job and when I had the valve cover off, Oil was shooting everywhere

Yea I just got another car yesterday same motor so I got parts note to fix it
