Infinitys are good cars. Decent power and reliable. Maintenance is alright. All in all its a good car with potential.

Nahh the gt will last forever at minimal cost.

Plus the g35 and most Japanese cars lose to much resale value.

His GT at those miles have already lost a ton of resale value lol. Probably worth like $4-5k

The g35 is a sedan and it has mor miles. Good luck with a g35 with that mileage...

Those aren't the only factors that come into play. G35s usually keep their value better than a 99-04 GT. These are a dime a dozen

You are aware that, that most Asian cars are very bullet proof. That car has well over 100k miles left in it. I work on some that have well into the 300,000 miles and are in excellent running condition.

Yea but who wants to drive them. Given that chance I think most people would choose the gt over the g35 specially that year g35 not known for being the best. IMO

OP hasn't stated the condition of the car.I had and 05 g35 coupe. I personally would not trade my gt for another one unless it's an hr that's been well maintained. But for a daily driver , comfort and grocery getter no doubt it is better than the gt but that's about t.

My fault. Good condition. Again I wouldn't. Not that specific year. You can say the resale value would be OK. But who would buy it? Aside from 17 yr olds

Ehh the G35s are pretty nice. I've seen a lot of great ones. The 99-04 GT you can point in any random direction and see one.

I live in Miami not many new edge gt's g35, civics, genesis, and v6 mustangs are the most common here. Not many gt's of any year here.

put a bench seat in from a grand marquis and swap the springs over lol.

For real though, a G35 would be good for that. I just don't know if they are reliable or not. I have a buddy who has an old *** infinity from 1995 0r 6 that is pretty much stone reliable. Jap stuff seems to be reliable, but I have only dealt with their commuter cars and not their more performance oriented cars.

I got a 2001 mustang gt and a 2005 g35 sedan sport. So far the only problems I had with the g35 is oil leaks and I have to replace my ball joints other than that it's very reliable with 123k miles. I had to replace a lot of stuff on the gt with 122k miles.

Yeah my GT has 140k and has been beat to **** its whole life. Replaced engine, fuel pump went out, put carb on, TOB went out, alternator also went out. W T F. This is all just since beginning of December. So 2 months at most

My next car is going to have a lot less miles and probably an LS1 in it lol. Id give my left nut for a low mileage vette.

Yeah 4.6 v8s sound damn good, but I think the vette engine sounds pretty mean too. Especialy if you get a good cam in it

For an everyday driver and them both being in comparable shape with comparable maintenance, get the G35 no question. Its a luxury sports coupe on a relatively recent chassis and nice amenities vs your bare bones sports coupe on a 1978 Fairmont chassis and a Fisher Price interior.

If you want a more civilized DD and want a better cruiser then the G35 would be the way to go. That VQ motor is not a bad piece. A few burn oil but you should be able to see that.

I don't like the idea of trading cars. If you trade and the motor blows in either of the cars and things get messy.

Infiniti. Infiniti. Infiniti. For a car forum, a lot of people aren't clear. I'd start here: http://www.carcomplaints.com/Infiniti/G35/2003/

BUT, for what you want, it seems like a decent trade. One thing a lot of people don't realize about resale value is comparing to the original price. A 2008 Maserati Quattroporte is a 20k car...from 100-150k originally. What was the original cost? Now GTs cost the same as the Nissan coupe with a six cylinder, what was the Infiniti? Just something to think about- a % vs just the cash value.
