Dark shadow grey...is it the same from 2001 thru 2004???

Ok, so I have the opportunity to get a door and trunk lid and rear bumper in the same color of my 2004 gt which is code CX dark shadow grey.

Was told by the owner, the parts came off a 2001,2002 or 2003 car, and the guy doesn't have the car any more to check the vin sticker.

Can't see the parts in person, but they do look like my color.

He tells me they only made one dark grey all these years...is that true or is it a b.s. Story?

Has dark shadow grey been offered in the 01,02 or 03 model years?

Thanks for your input

DSG was new for 03 and carried into 04. Mineral Gray was the former gray offered in 01 to 02, which was noticeably lighter than DSG.

So it sounds like this guy doesn't really know..the parts could be DSG or they could be MG.
Either way even if the parts are DSG there's a good chance they won't simply blend with the other panels on your car.

Years of fading, possible respray, or just the simple shade difference between production runs will show when the parts are buttoned up right next to factory panels.

JimmyBeaner had an 02 Sonic Blue GT that he put a Termi front end on. I bought his stock GT hood and when I put it on my car you could see the clear shade difference between his 02 hood and my 03 fenders/bumper.
