I think he meant do them the same day. Do a run, quickly upload the tune then do another tune.

Paying money for a dyno to test a hp gain from a tune seems silly to me. I couldn't justify the cost of a dyno run until maybe the car is close tofullbolt ons

Tax money (;

2011 Kona Blue did a comparison of 3 different tuners on a dyno before with his 3.7. Dont need a ton of mods just to see what it'll make. I dynod my car with just a tune and exhaust.

Comparing tunes makes some sense but I couldn't pay to dyno my car with a tune, the gain is definitely there

So your telling me you wouldn't pay 50 bucks to find out how your car is actually performing. What if your car is running super lean or super rich and you have no idea its actually hurting your motor.

By any chance do you have a photo of your dyno sheet?

Horsepower is what I was expecting. Torque is a bit low, could have been that it was a mobile dyno that seemed to have bad squeaking issues.

Datalogs my friend. More real world data in my opinion and as far as the actual hp numbers I don't care. Those are mainly for bragging. I tuned my car and now it is faster and pulls harder therefore it was worth it

No I don't have the A/F ratio unfortunately. Out of all the cars I saw that day. Multiple Cobras, another Bullitt, built classics I had the smoothest graph lol.

And right after the run one of my COPs got unplugged so I was running on 7 lol.

Gawd guys...yea I heard ortiz is good with 2 valves. But I'd rather data log my car first rather then just tune it by its self. I'm gonna have to research some things, but il come up with ortiz, or bama.

I heard if you send back datalogs they will send tune revises to get the tune more spot on.

Most people around arkansas area where I'm at all use Ortiz email tunes. I would say Ortiz. I saw same modded 5.0's race Ortiz tune and the other Lund tuned. Ortiz tuned car put a couple lengths on the Lund tune. The Lund tuned car got and Ortiz tune and they raced again and was a better race granted one driver was better than the other of course. I also seen guys with Ortiz and Lund tunes and they said Ortiz tune was better than Lunds. Idk if they were bias but I would of said Ortiz is one of the best tuners in the mustang world.

He is very good. Its sad that he didn't even get enough business to keep his shop open. At least he still does email tunes.

The thing is though, all 2010 and previous-year models did NOT come equipped with wideband sensors from the factory. Unless you've got an aftermarket WBS, you can't fully diagnose your 'stang, which a dyno can.

After datalogging and working with my tuner, I'd definitely pay $50 to see what #s I could make and to see my A/F ratio, etc. $50 ain't much to have a professional say "No, in 1,000 miles your $10K+ investment will not blow up into smoke due to an improper tune."

Maybe if a dyno was within 300 miles I would consider it. But alas where I live sucks when it comes to cars.

Oh damn. Yeah, that'd be a little different. Luckily I've got a dyno shop 10 mins from my house but they're copy-paste tuners, they use Bama's tunes as a base. I'm not paying $400+ for Bama tunes which I already have

Let's just say the Bama tune got me from A to B after cams. That's all I used it for. Performance-wise, it was a complete mess. MPT has been the most advanced tune I've got, but my Steeda tune was the most fun so far, still working with MPT though.

Tax season? Paying off debt. Next tax season? Finishing paying off said debt. Tax season after that? Well hopefully will be in a new house with a nice garage and maybe something that has a pair in said garage to spend the tax money on.

Tax season for me means HID retrofits, lightweight race seats, Roush front end, and a lot of track days
