I personally suggest getting subframe connectors welded on, save up a few weeks of pay with any left over money and get a CAI w/ Bama x4 tuner. From there work on bigger MAF, throttle body, TB and intake spacers, headers, etc. obviously, all of that is over $1200 but if you're looking to upgrade your car, those are some great bolt ons to look into

The sooner I just be a responsible adult and do things like pay off bills the faster I can get back into a stang. I could now, but I don't want another $6k stang that's going to need $15k just to keep up with the newer cars.

I don't mean to pursue this conversation deeper off topic, but did you guys go to any well known colleges? I'm seriously looking into UNOH, if anyone has any feedback on their High Performance Motorsports/automotive course I'm open to listen!

It depends on the situation.

The school i'm going to is one of the best business colleges in the west coast (Saint Mary's College of California.... Its a private college). And being in the bay area right next to silicon valley the school has unlimited connections. I'm talking people like Tesla, the "big 5" accounting firms, Apple, and so much more.

Multiple of my professors have been published and have awards. My economics professor helped Russia rebuild their economy after they got out of the Soviet Union. Only like one of my professors i've had does not have a Ph.D. You don't get these types of things at most state colleges and rarely if ever at a community college.

Yes i'll walk out with $100k in loans, but the potential for a better career is so much higher, so it is worth the cost to me.

Its like asking people why they pay so much to go to Harvard. Because at the end, the cost is negligible. If i went to something like a state college yea i would try as hard as i can to minimize costs, at that level they are more affordable.

A few notable people who graduated from my college:

James Guyette: CEO of Rolls Royce in North America
Shirley Griffin: Executive Vice President, Wells Fargo Bank
Dr. Carl Wu: distinguished cancer researcher, National Institute of Health

I completely agree. I chose the automotive technology industry and even tho it's not a high paying industry to get into, the job availability is endless. It all truely depends on your course of major, and the area in which you choose to live in or go to school in, whether or not a student loan is worth it. UNOH is around $40,000 for 36 months of both automotive & high performance Motorsports, and you graduate with an associates in both. Opening up a whole new world for a technician.
Leading to exactly what you said, it depends on the situation.

How else are you suppose to pay for it? The key is not to go to college rack up debt when you don't know what you want to do and end up getting some BS degree that won't place you in any good jobs. One piece of advice all degrees are not created equally.

If you do your research, find a degree that fits a job you want to do and work hard and graduate with a high GPA and build up a good resume you will get out With loans but also a high paying job to where you can pay them off. There are sites that show average starting salary vs type of degree. There is a reason why on average an engineering degree pays 60k+ out of school and a general bs none specific degree gets you 20-30k a year.

Oh, yeah I know who it is then ha. Wasn't far from me, heard pretty good things about his tunes so I was going to check him out after all he was local.
Was going to stop by his place when I heard he closed, business didn't pick up for him down here, ended up moving to San Antonio for some job or something like that.

Nah they didn't test a/f ratio or anything like that, just horsepower. They didn't bother to tell me before the dyno that their dyno didn't measure torque. After paying 70$ and not even getting a torque I was pissed.. Although if I test a/f ratio I will let you know. I'm just as curious

Haha wow I'd be pissed I didn't get any info on my car after that. They should have been upfront with that one.

For ppl talking about college debt... there is college debt and then there is college debt. Going to community college for 60 credits working part time and doing a pay as you go (generally $400/mo for 15 credits) and then paying $8-$12k per year with student loans for the next 2 years at a 4 year school is one thing. And ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY ever do Federal DirectLoans because they can legally only take up to 10% of your monthly income as a payment no matter how much you make. You do a private loan and they will push in your butthole with a spiked war dildo 2-3 months after you graduate and there is nothing you can do about it.

The 2/2 plan is smart because well... credits are credits. The 100 and 200 level classes in CC are the same damn ones you'd pay way more for at a 4 year college and the degree you get at the end is the exact same one you'd get if you were at the school for 4 years. I know SO many ppl who should have done this...

It is very feasible to come out of college using student loans with a degree and under $30k in debt and if you plan it right and get a good degree (or go to trade school) that there are jobs available for you will be fine. Be stupid and go to a liberal arts college at $20k a year because you HAVE to live in the dorms for the "college experience" (aka you want to go into massive debt so you can party on the weekends) then have fun moving back in with your parents at 23 when you graduate and can't find a job and owe a ****ton of money.

Love it! Told my wife before we got married and to all of her roommates a few years ago before they all graduated that 2 out of the 4 of them will not find a job they went to school for, for their degree. 5 years later after I said this and 2 years after they all have graduated and received their degree, 3 of the 4 of them are still working part time paying off there dept and can't find a job my wife included (she's applied to well over 60 jobs in her year here in NC, still nothing). This is the reason I joined the military to get the experience in the fields I would need and then have my school paid for after I get out. All in the mean while I was looked down upon for not perusing my degree right after highschool with all the rest. I tried the whole college thing for 2 years at a community college and saw that a degree wouldn't be enough.

I'm going to have to disagree.

A community college degree will never stack up to a liberal arts degree... That is actually the small part to it. A community college usually has no connections, you are just in and out with a piece of paper and a little bit of smarts. A private university will have the connections you need to get an actual career after college....

Yesterday my school hosted a career fair and i went and handed out some resumes to places like Lincoln Financial. Liberty Mutual, Thrivent Investments. These are Fortune 500 companies. There were real estate firms there. Target headquarters also. You don't see any of this type of stuff or firms of this caliber at normal community colleges or state colleges.

The connections available to me right now only become more and more each year of college and even when i graduate. Employers are always coming to our campus looking for students and graduates.

If what you are saying is the case then why would people even go to places like Harvard, Princeton, Columbia (as much as i hate him, Obama went to Columbia), New York University, Yale, Berkley ect......

I said it before. But pretty much all of my professors are published and have PH.Ds.. My economics professor helped Russia rebuild their economy when they came out of the Soviet Union. My current Accounting professor tells us stories every day about literally everything you can think of in business. He taught people who went on to be pretty damn rich. And taught sons and daughters of CEOs. My Global Business professor earned the Mahatma Gandhi Award for Leadership in Religious Pluralism.

And for my loans they are through Wells Fargo... I have a few years after i graduate before i have to start paying, and interest is pretty low. So i don't know what you are saying about them spiking my butt hole.
