Next task

So, i just sent my car off to get the transmission rebuilt. Which btw i am very excited about. I should be getting my car back on Saturday 😁😁😁.

I still have a little over a grand left to spend, should i invest in getting my engine rebuilt or invest in something else? What would you do? What would be the smartest decision i can do for my 02 GT πŸ’™

I am curious how much are you paying? I am thinking about getting mine done as well. Now what is still stock on the car? I would leave the motor alone til it spins a rod bearing or whatever then swap in an mmr. If i were you i would do a full suspension build. I think sway bars, upper lower control arms, strut tower brace, subframe connectors and springs would make you very happy

I am only paying $1700 rebuilt, and i just purchased a shift kit which they are not charging me extra to do. The car is pretty much stock. All it has is a CAI and some flows super 40s. I am now just starting to drop money in my car. I've owned it for 8 years and has been great to me. But now it's time to give my car major upgrades as my thanks in return lol. But i am definitely considering the suspension as my next upgrade.

I forgot to mention i also went to like the 4 different shops and this one had the okay pricing compared to another but that costumer service is what got me. On the high end i was quoted $2200.

Ok so you have an auto right? And on the upgrade part i am telling you the most difference you will feel, besides a supercharger, is suspension. Maybe even do the gears and some suspension mods but please keep me posted i am excited for you. I am a tech that does a lot of suspension work so if you need anything let me know

Yeah it's an auto. I originally was going to convert it to manual, but after seeing the prices, i was like an automatic will be fine for me lol.

For suspension, what would you recommend me adding? In the near future i plan on adding some more bolt ons and internal upgrades. So, mild is where i'm targeting for my car. Nothing too crazy but has the balls when i want to give it a little gas if that makes any sense. Thanks again for the suggestions.

I am located in clearlake ca but soon to be moving to sacramento ca. If you would like to let me know what budget you have and i can put together a build sheet. And if your close i can even install it for you and save you a lot of money. I am also going for mild. And have some cost effective ideas that you may like

Damn! I'm in So Cal. πŸ˜• i'm looking to spend no more than $700. If there is anything good within that price range let me know. I want to get good stuff not the best because that stuff is very pricey. Yes, please do share those ideas you have. I really want to do a lot for my mustang.

Eibach pro 219 tokito blues ??the rest probably. After that Lakewood or Southside lowers and a energy suspension bushing kit. Strut tower brace is something u can make urself for cheap and feel results

Well for your budget i would reccomend some lowering springs and definately upgrade your struts and shocks. That alone may very well put you over the 700 budget but it will be real noticeable. I like eibach myself and have installed them on many vehicles with nothing but good things to say about them. If you want as low as you can go, with lowering springs, sportlines are the way to go. Couple that with some konis and you will tell the difference. Now with lowering it that far you may need a bumpsteer kit and caster camber plates. I, however, have the pro kit which doesnt require caster camber plates or a bumpsteer kit.

Well I currently have some bbk progressive springs on it at the moment. I never replaced the shocks., never put camber plates. My friend gave them to me and he installed them. Are they worth keeping or should i get rid of them?

If you like the ride hight and quality then by all means keeps them. I woild just invest in some struts and shocks then maybe some upper and lower control arms for the rear to help keep it planted and prevent wheel hop when you plan on punching the gas

I'd start with a tune, and throttle body/plenum combo. You'll feel the difference instantly. Right at ur $700 budget

So, i just got my car back....

It drives awesome! It shifts sooo smooth and the chirping from the shift kit πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ i am so happy with the results of the transmission. NOT the unfortunate event about my bumper though.

ID:	175732this is of the bumper. The whole car i'll take pics later. I don't have any at the moment.

But i ended up purchasing the bumper. I was debating wether to get the Terminator bumper or the 99/01 cobra. But those 99/01 were very difficult to find with fogs.

Would it be possible to get my new bumper painted while it's on the car? Or would i have to get the bumper painted first?
