02 GT Tires

Hey guys looking to get a new set of firehawk wide oval indy 500 for the front of my car, my car is stock right now not lowered. Whats the biggest size i can get for the front that will fill all the wheel well space on a 17in rim?

I run 245 18s for street and 17x4.5 front runners for drag. I have heard of people running up to 275s up front which I think is ridiculous, especially if car was lowered it would rub.

If you want a wider tire get a wider wheel. They make them for that very reason. 1 inch is 25mm so judge your wheel size based off that. I run a 275/35-18 up front on a 18x9. It does bulge a little so i'm probably going 265 next.

You'll need either flares or an SLA swap and run a higher offset.

I run 275s up front. Only issue is I rub my coilovers on full lock. But that I'm pretty sure is because of my negative camber.

Terminators came equipped from the factory with 275's.

I've seen people run 255's on 8 inch wheels and they don't look too bulged out.

In the front or in the back? In the back they would only rub if you are lowered.

I'm lowered and my 315×18 street rears don't rub at all. Eventually want my street wheels 17s though.

I've heard that bigger wheels don't help our cars.

I don't see how. Is this true?

Bigger wheels do help but there is such a thing as too big not to mention you need to have the rest of the suspension to take advantage of it. For a setup that is not staggered, a 9" rim and 265s is optimal on a 94-04 car. Staggered most ppl run 9" up front with a 255-275 and then a 10-10.5" out back with a 275-315. Only thing is on 94-98 cars a 9" rim can lip out a little up front, I ran a a 235/45/18 on a 18x8 and then a 275/40/18 out back on my 98 and it was perfect.
