Steering creak

97 GT started creaking when turning right. Ordered the Steeda Ball Joints and Bumpsteet kits. Figured it's a good time to upgrade. What else should I look at changing while the steering is pulled apart?

Check everything! Replace anything that is worn out or looks suspect. And order a new set of bushings for the steering rack... That is a likely source for creaking.

I rebuilt the entire front end on my car and it drives like new.

What did you end up doing to repair your charging system issue?

AM supplied a replacement alternator. I replaced the power wire as well. Still having the issue but not as bad. Has to be ground but no idea where.

Ordered the Steeda Ball Joints and Outer Tie Rods along with the various bushings. Don't have a press for the ball joints so took the car to a shop to have the replacements done. They got the car lifted and the passenger side Eibach spring was broken in two separate places. They called me to the shop to show me the spring. That was my noise problem. Now I have to order springs before doing anything more.

I'd send the pics to Eibach and see what they will do for you. They SHOULD refund you the money or send you new springs.

The Eibachs were on the car when I bought it 3 years ago. That being said I don't know how long they were there. One of the few mods done to the vehicle at that time. I've put Koni stunts/shocks in but nothing else suspension.
