Dome Lighting

How can I get my dome light to work when I open and close my door??

97 Mustang GT

Have you tried twisting the knob where you turn on your headlights?

I don't believe the knob has anything to do with the dome lighting but correct me if I'm wrong

No the knob only affects it if the door is shut and you want it on.

First thing first. Have you checked the bulb?

The bulbs are fine. I just upgraded them to LED bulbs

Mine doesn't work either. It works when I open the passenger side though. It hasn't bothered me enough to check out Why. Lol

I'm just curious. I never expected it to work since it's an old car and I don't know when that feature was innovated. It would be more convenient if it worked. Maybe a door switch??

Switch is located in the door where it latches. WD40 fixed mine. Switches are $5 at AutoZone
