Swapping exhaust

So I've made my mind to swap my catback. Simply because of the performance it caused. Any suggestion? I know borla is praised but what about bassani, magnaflow?...

Bassani and magnaflow are both great companies. Either one will be comparable as far as performance. I'm sure there are sound differences between them of course. What was the performance issue you have currently? I would just get a off road mid pipe, x or h, some high flow mufflers welded in (magnapacks, flowmaster, slp, borla, etc, etc on and on). Your exhaust choice won't make a huge power difference no matter which route you take, It's mostly to allow the engine to breath better and get a better exhaust tone, loudness level, etc.

My off road bassani x pipe came in. It's awesome, and I currently have slp loudmouth ones. But I lost low end torque. I even called late model restoration and asked them an they said yes it does do that. I knew something was different when I swapped my flowmasters with this set. I love the sound, it sound great, but I don't like what it did. When I got the car I could punch it and my body go back, but with this I really don't.

It's said back pressure but I'm sure that's just lies or something. It could be the diameter of the resonator. But I did lose low end torque

I think with the proper tuning, you may be able to get back that low-end torque you said you're missing with your new O/R X. Or at least get some back.

Ya I probably could. I just think maybe Slp is more of a exhaust tone resonator rather than getting performance. Bassani, magnaflow is a different story

I think it's a placebo effect you're feeling. I have slp loudmouths and I definitely gained some low end and mid range. But I have a tune intake TB and plenum backing mine up.

It's your other mods man. It has to be. I swear i Lost low end. Believe me, I love this exhaust but I'd rather have performance rather than sound. If that makes sense.

I kept my stock intake tube. It works well enough. Plenum and TB are a must. Biggest recommendation you'll get around here is the summit racing plenum and TB combo. It's cheap and is made by trick flow. It works well from what I hear. I did a 75mm C&L plenum and 70 mm TB. It will really wake your car up. Best to have it tunes tho to take advantage of the increased airflow.

I have MPT as a tuner. Summit racing sells their TB and plenum combo. It's a good unit made by trick flow.

You do realize all the catbacks are within about 2hp of each other at these power levels right?
