Yeah it looks great. Always nice to see someone actually doing something a little more complex than asking what tools they need to swap a mid pipe lol. I mean not that there's anything wrong with that...

Haha, similar, but it's my friends dad asking when it's going to be out of his garage

Thanks for the support guys, got the booster master cylinder and all the brake lines in yesterday as well as the fuel tank, and rear, now just waiting on a few more parts from the postal service (everything I get shipped with them gets lost or is longer then expected) then the motor is going in hopefully this weekend

Hahaha that and the infamous "which exhaust" or "v6 swap or buy GT" threads. Just kidding, the forum is for all levels of questions and projects, but I do agree, this project is unique and very cool to actually see materialize and progress.

It takes 16.1 quarts of coolant. Make sure you burp the system properly. Here's a good procedure to follow.

http://reischeperformance.com/refill.html

They have really good thermostats if you want a low temp stat.

Power steering is Mercon but I can't find the total capacity. Brake fluid is Dot 3 but can't find total capacity on that either lol. I'll see if I can find some fill procedures. I'm sure the brakes are bleed on all 4 and add until at the full line on the master cylinder reservoir. I bet the power steering has one too so you can know when to add to get to the full mark.

Super tech for all fluids as far as PS/Brakes/coolant. I went through about 2 bottles of Dot III brake fluid when I did my truck, Mustang will not be as much. Unsure about the PS honestly... Coolant for an entire block you will want to have at least 2 unmixed jugs of it so you can make 4 jugs of 50/50. Do not buy pre-mix unless you like getting ripped off paying for half of the product and half water.

Mobile 1 ATF is great for the TR3650. It's one of them listed in the service manual.

Yup, synchromesh is pretty much ATF too. All the modern sticks use ATF these days.

I had a 3650 that shifted damn smooth with the synchromesh. Will be putting it in the t45 in the new car provided everything goes smooth with that sale.

Got all the fluids, 6 quarts of royal purple 5w20, 4 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF, Lucas oil brake fluid and power steering fluid, 2 gallons of prestone concentrate antifrreee and a KN Oil Filter, ran me about $200! But if I don't open some bottles, I'll return them or save them for back up if I need it! Hopefully will be done this week...Click image for larger version

All good fluids but RP is seriously SERIOUSLY overpriced. 5 quart jugs of M1 are $26 at wal mart.

power steering uses mercon atf, yes. Manual Trans, i felt an improvement switching from mobil1 to syncromesh. Engine oil, ive always felt more comfortable with 5w30. as far as brand, i daily drive with motorcraft and my 156k mile valvetrain still looks better than my old 2006 60k mile hyundai that i babied. (prev owner surely didnt up to 29k)
After all the researching i used to do on oil, I chose not to spend so much on oil, but stick with something reputable. a well maintained engine on walmarts super tech synthetic will last longer than a neglected engine on Royal Purple. And when i read about peoples engines lasting over 300k miles, They usually use something like castrol, mobil1, motorcraft, or even just supertech synthetic.
