New owner needs info

Hi guys, new owner of a 2000 gt. Found it in a barn where it has sat for 6 years with original owner. Love the car but absolutely hate the seats! Is there any other seats that bolt in or at least fit well with a few mods? I have the grey cloth interior and would prefer to keep cloth. My current seats are in mint condition which is a shame but maybe I can sell them.
Thanks!

No I would like something factory, I guess pretty much anything would fit with modifications but I was wondering what others have found fit well in there

Most people will swap in racing seats, the factory seats are generally the most comfortable seats you can find for these. Are you just looking for an aesthetically pleasing seat? You can always look for some Cobra seats but you're gonna spend an arm and a leg on them. That being said, I have heard of somebody swapping in an 05-14 seat but I don't know what all was involved in that process.

you can fit 05 to 09 seats, but it might cost more than its worth. first you gotta find good seats worth paying for, then you need to buy the seat track adapters. the few that i have seen done seemed to go really well.

What don't you like about the seats? Maybe you could get some black leather ones?

Could go to a auto upholstery shop and have your seats rebuild

Oh and btw, make sure you're checking your oil&coolant every day for the first few weeks you drive the car, especially if you drive a lot and do a bunch of Wide open throttle like we all do lol.

I think I am going to look into putting the 05+ seats in as they are a lot nicer and look good. Yes I check fluid levels frequently as it only gets driven on weekends. I didn't know that the gas pedal had any position but all the way down haha. It has stock exhaust still but it still growls nicely under throttle

03-04 Mach 1 seats are very comfortable and look good. They also have great support for an OEM seat. You might find some used ones from someone who is dropping weight or needs racing seats with the appropriate harness.
